Even though Mr. Shapiro have us the warning that this book would be very graphic and sexual, it surpassed anything that I imagined. I found the story very odd but the author obviously but careful thought into it. An interesting aspect that he included is that he not only made Michael an innocent boy that falls in love with an older lady, but decides to make him have hepititius as well. This is very important due to the fact that it makes the reader sympathize towards Michael more and realize that Hanna is in fact the one taking advantage of him.
One very interesting part of the book so far is the fact that he goes to her place of work and expects Hanna to treat him as if they are lovers. This shows his immaturity and young mindset. Obviously a thirty six year old woman is not going to show affection for a fifteen year old boy in public. She would be perceived as a pedophile by her peers and might even be fired because of it.
